I won’t be able to tell you which make up brand is best, so I thought the next best thing would be to divulge all of my secrets and tell you all of my favourite products… I‘m always reaching for these!! For fun I thought I’d also name the top 3 makeup brands that are just doing it for me at the minute! I keep my eye on these brands, stalk their websites and look out for their exciting, innovative products. (Keep reading to see the list…) Eeee, it’s like the Oscar’s! While there isn’t a brand that can do-it-all there’s some brands that come pretty close. I remember when I was a kid, shopping on the high street for makeup, the options were pretty limited (the 90’s). We have so much available to us now, makeup brands that are cruelty free, and/or vegan. Makeup brands that have more color shade inclusivity and all round better quality products. The market is more competitive so the products have to keep up.

Soft glam makeup is a softer, more natural version of full glam. Full glam is what looks like heavy makeup, with multiple layers, contouring, baking. Thick strip lashes and heavy cut creases. Full glam is what you’ll see on Saturday evening TV, on stage, and some beauty influencers favour the full glam style too. I love both full glam and soft glam makeup, but I think full glam has it’s place. It was created originally for stage to exaggerate the features so when you see it up close and personal in daylight It can look quite shocking. I work largely in the bridal part of the makeup industry so for my job I'm working with women who want to enhance their natural features whilst feeling confident and looking like themselves, and soft glam makeup works beautifully alongside this.

A trial is perfect so you can try out what you’ve been thinking about and your artist will be able to suggest what will suit you and turn it into something wonderful. Top tip- Sometimes the only way to know if something suits you is to try it out.
